In February and March, the Arts Council is conducting a statewide "listening tour" and we're inviting all Vermonters to take part. We'd like your ideas for how we can sustain and grow the arts during these economically and politically challenging times.
Specifically, we want your input on the following questions:
Given the current funding climate, how can the Arts Council continue to "inspire a creative state?"
With the potential of a dramatic reduction in our resources, what should the Council's priorities be?
We urge you to attend one or more of these meetings as your thoughts and opinions are vital to our planning. Bring along other community members who are involved in or value the arts, as well as people who may not be.
Things to Think About in Advance of These Meetings:
Aside from grants, which of the programs the Council currently offers are most important to you?
What's working in your community? How is the value of the arts being demonstrated?
What opportunities and/or partnerships would you like to see the Arts Council pursue?
