Painting Workshop Offered Evenings At Carving Studio and Sculpture Center
WEST RUTLAND, VT- The Carving Studio and Sculpture Center is pleased to offer a six-week workshop, “From Inspiration to Realization” with Fran Bull, April 30-June 4, 2009. Weekly sessions will meet from 6-9 PM on Thursdays and the fee is $275.00 per person.
Fran Bull, artist, gallery owner, and teacher, will lead a course in Painting that will feature a visionary approach to making art, using a range materials—paper, canvas, paint, sculptural materials, found objects, collage, etc. As artists we are inspired continually by the world around us and by all we imagine. This workshop presents an opportunity to move with purpose from inspiration and idea to completed works of art.
Each participant will focus on a discovery of his/her individual process while experimenting with ways to bring structure, depth and body to his/her initial impulses and vision. Participants will glean from a variety of sources such as poetry and dreams, their own writing and sketchbooks, and the rich world of personal experience. The goal of this course is to enhance and expand the artistry of each participant and to create inspired, meaningful works of art.
